Thank you for visiting
HD Korea Shipbuilding
& Offshore Engineering's website.

Last year, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering achieved a historic milestone of becoming the world’s first shipbuilder to deliver 5,000 vessels. It also secured a total of 137 orders, surpassing its annual target for the fifth consecutive year. Backed by a profitability-focused selective order strategy and stabilized operations, the company posted more than KRW 3.9 trillion in operating profit, marking its best-ever performance since the launch of the holding company system. Building on these achievements, we aim to further strengthen our global leadership through relentless technological innovation and strong execution.

First, we will further enhance future profitability by reshaping our global business and internalizing key parts of the value chain.
Rather than resting on current achievements, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering is diversifying its global business portfolio and laying the groundwork for its next leap forward. Through the launch of a Singapore office, the company is improving the efficiency of resource allocation and decision-making across its overseas operations. At the same time, by acquiring HD Hyundai Eco Vina in Vietnam, it is internalizing capabilities in key eco-friendly vessel components and strengthening the competitiveness of its global supply chain. In addition, based on the stable operation of the Subic shipyard in the Philippines, the company is building a foundation to foster it over the mid to long term as a hub for maintenance, repair, and equipment. It is also exploring new business opportunities by reviewing various options related to Korea-U.S. shipbuilding cooperation.

Second, we will sustain long-term growth beyond uncertainty through truly differentiated technological leadership.
Amid market uncertainty and intensifying competition, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering will stay focused on areas where we can lead most decisively. We will continue to advance next-generation eco-friendly technologies such as ammonia propulsion, small modular reactors, electric propulsion, and hydrogen, while accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital transformation to structurally enhance competitiveness across design, production, and quality. Through these efforts, we will deliver stable and sustainable performance even as the industry paradigm evolves at a rapid pace.

Third, we will maximize integration synergies to solidify market leadership.
Building on the integration synergies in the shipbuilding business created through the merger of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and HD Hyundai Mipo, we will further enhance our competitiveness across R&D, production, and sales. By achieving greater scale in both quantity and quality, we will reinforce both technological competitiveness and business stability, thereby solidifying our competitive edge in the mid- to large-sized shipbuilding segment. We will also aim to lead the naval and special-purpose vessel market, where continued growth is expected, by combining our expertise in naval shipbuilding with our capabilities in mid-sized vessel construction.

Fourth, we will foster a transparent and fair business environment by making voluntary compliance with fair trade a core principle of corporate management.
We will strengthen our mutual growth with partner companies and strictly comply with laws and ethics throughout the entire transaction process to create a trustworthy corporate culture. Through this, we will establish a fair, competitive order and contribute to achieving sustainable growth.

Please support us as we begin this new exciting journey.
